Many people have encountered a situation where the temperature of the guide plate is too high to become hot or hot when working on the chain saw. What is the reason for the temperature of the guide plate being too high to be hot or hot? In fact, the chain saw guide plate is hot and even hot when it is used, which is a problem often encountered in chain saw maintenance. Today I will tell you how to deal with this situation.
The most fundamental cause of the heating problem is excessive friction. The chain saw itself has a lubricating oil supply system. Therefore, the abnormal operation of the oil supply system is often the cause of the heating of the guide plate of the chain saw. If the oil pipe is damaged and leaks, the oil filter head is blocked, the oil pump is blocked, the oil pump nozzle is not flat, the paper pad of the oil pump nozzle is damaged, and the oil hole of the guide plate is blocked. Abnormal conditions.
The following are several reasons and solutions that may cause the chain saw guide plate and chain saw chain to heat up:
1. Insufficient oil supply or inorganic oil
Solution: add oil in time and clear the oil supply circuit, such as oil filter head, oil pump and oil pipe. Among them, the bottom of the oil pump can be adjusted with a straight knife to adjust the amount of oil out of the oil. Generally, it can be adjusted to 60% to 70%.
2. The oil hole of the guide plate is blocked or the guide groove is blocked
Solution: Use a blow gun to clean off the wood chips or debris on the guide plate.
3. The width of the groove of the guide plate does not match the width of the guide teeth of the chain
Solution: It is recommended to change to the matching specifications.
4. The guide plate is not curved smoothly
Solution: It is recommended to replace the guide plate directly.
Although the lubricating oil used between the chain saw guide plate and the chain is not too high, generally used engine oil can also be replaced, but the debris in the oil must be filtered before use to avoid blockage.
Do not adjust the chain guide and chain too tightly or loosely. The chain must be tightly attached to the guide plate after installation, and the chain can be pushed freely when the zipper is pushed forward with a wire cutter. When the chain is installed and the chain is pulled away from the guide plate, about half of the chain teeth can be pulled up.
Note that the slot width specification of the guide plate corresponds to the thickness of the guide teeth of the chain. Under normal circumstances, the thickness of the guide teeth of 325 is 1.5MM, and most of the 3/8 is 1.6MM.
Purchase qualified guide plates. Good quality guide plates are generally hard and wear-resistant, and the guide plates are flat and will not bend. To purchase good accessories, be sure to buy factory accessories that produce or assemble the whole machine, so that is guaranteed.
